“We’re both really intense competitors,” Miller said. Roberts was a college-prep student and Miller a newly arrived undergrad, two teammates whose intensity for basketball quickly formed the basis of a lasting bond.
Roberts previously spent eight seasons on Miller’s staff at UNC Greensboro, but the duo’s friendship actually started years earlier at New Hampton School in New Hampshire. It’s also why Roberts is such a vital member of the staff as Miller enters his second season at Cincinnati, with Roberts returning alongside Andre Morgan and associate head coach Chad Dollar as Miller’s three bench assistants.
